About ophelia

Having discovered the artistic and expressive world of circus when Ophelia joined a youth circus company in West London, she has dedicated the last 15 years to honing her circus skills, creative process and stage presence. 

 

Exploring all aspects of circus and performance, Ophelia has built a repertoire of abilities that cut across disciplines. She now specialises in dance trapeze, where she combines rhythmic work with dynamic and fluid aerial movement.

Ophelia studied for three years at SaSak circus school in Finland, where she graduated from in January, 2020. Since then Ophelia has worked with companies such as Virgin Voyages, Gorilla circus and MSC. She has developed a series of pieces that showcase fluidity, musicality, dynamism and emotional connectivity.

Over the years Ophelia has gained much experience in teaching and has developed her own coaching methods, which she has brought to many students around the world.

The opportunity to travel extensively as a youth circus artist opened her mind to inspiration from around the world.
